If you have management responsibilities or specific expertise on a construction site, you may be eligible for the Gold CSCS Supervisor Card. Gold CSCS cards are used by construction workers operating. The Gold CSCS card recognizes advanced skills. Work as a site supervisor or in construction related specialties he must have NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or 4. The CSCS Gold Card is valid for 5 years and must be renewed before it expires.

You can apply for Gold CSCS Supervisor card online only if you have already obtained the theoretical knowledge and practical training required to work as a site manager. The fixed qualifications for a CSCS gold Supervisor card are:
> an NVQ/ SVQ Level 3 for Occupational Work Supervision or a construction-related subject at a supervisory or technical level
>an NVQ/ SVQ Level 4 for a construction-related subject at a supervisory or technical level.
If you don’t meet either of these requirements, you may find a blue CSCS card more suitable. If you feel your training goes beyond what has already been described you may want to consider applying for a black CSCS card. Black cscs card for managers or specialists with Level 4, 5 or higher qualifications. You will need to take the CITB Managers and Professionals Test to apply for a black CSCS card.
For Advanced Craft occupations you should take the operative or the Specialist test depending on the department.
