This four-day course will prepare delegates for the role of Slinger Signaller as part of the overall lifting operations team by providing them with the essential skills, information, and training. It is appropriate for people who are in charge of slinging.

This course consists of three days of training followed by a one-day CPCS theory and practical exam. Delegates who pass the exam will be issued a red CPCS Trained Operator Card that is valid for two years. To convert their red Trained Operator card to a full 5-year blue Competent Operator card, CPCS red cardholders must finish the required
NVQ level 2.

The CPCS A40 slinger signaller training course is divided into five distinct qualifications, each of which is accessible as a CPCS A40 training course. They are as follows:

•  A40A: Slinger Signaller training for all machines, including pick and carry.
•  A40B: Static Crane Slinger Signaller Course
•  A40C: Lorry Loader Slinger Signaller Course.
•  A40D:Slinger Signaller course for 360 Excavators exclusively.
•  A40E: Slinger Signallercourse is only for Telehandlers.

How Will You Get Your CPCS A40 Card?

To obtain a CPCS A40 Training Card, the following procedures must be followed:

•  You must have a fundamental understanding of current health and safety issues. The applicable CITB Touchscreen test must be current and completed within 24 months.
•  Apply for the CPCS Red Card and make the required payments.
•  Your reservation can be verified once we get all of the following information:
•  Existing CPCS A40 Card Number
•  N.I. Number
•  Date of Birth
